Footage has emerged of a wild brawl at England’s Ascot racecourse on Saturday.
The violent melee – which took place after the running of the last race on the six-event program – reportedly involved “six to eight” chief participants, but appeared to impact numerous other shocked racegoers.

The fight was believed to be “football-related”, with witnesses reporting that two obviously intoxicated groups of men suddenly began trading punches and throwing pint glasses adjacent to the ‘disabled viewing area’ on the fourth floor of one of the Ascot grandstands.
Two of the men suffered minor head injuries which were treated on course, with police reportedly becoming involved once security had removed the brawling punters from the race track.

“Unfortunately there was an incident on site,” said Ascot’s corporate and racing communications manager Ashley Morton-Hunte.
“There were six to eight people involved, which is a minority ruining it for the majority, and the security staff were there very quickly.”
The Ascot fight has raised further concerns about a culture of excessive drinking on English racecourses and comes just a week after a violent 50-strong brawl at Goodwood, in which a man was kicked in the head.
